Cosplaying as the Summons

This thread is archived.

• The summons have always been one of my favorite parts of the Final Fantasy titles.
In the next year I plan to start working on a Asura costume from FF4 and maybe even human Valefor for FF10.

• That sounds pretty durn awesome. Every once in a great while I'll see a Shiva cosplayer, but that's about it.

• Same here, which makes me sad. Shiva is cool and all but there are so many interesting summons out there.
I've seen two costumes of FF12 summons Ultima and Zalera, and they were beautiful

• Well Shiva is my Fav but she's so overdone, and really shes the ONE summon that get's cosplayed over all of them. I would love to see some Summon cosplays that aren't her for once..The reason people do her is cuz she already has a human body and face so it'd much easier..Rather then, say Ifrit who looks like a devil..or Alexander that looks like a freaking tank mixed with a freaking gorilla lol They are all just way too dificult..I think out of the non human looking ones, Ifrit may be the most likely to be done since all you need is a buff dude, or make a mascot outgit that's a buff dude lol

• I'm pretty sure we're organising a Summon's group for next year sometime in Queensland, Australia (hopefully at the far end of it) from ff13. I think we've got the Shiva sisters, Odin and Bahamut at the moment. so hard!

Also Shiva in Final Fantasy 10 is only a little bigger than Yuna. The two Final Fantasy 12 summons I mentioned are also very human like.
"Alexander that looks like a freaking tank mixed with a freaking gorilla" I never thought of him like that before.
@Simetra: that sounds like it would be hard but fun!

• Yea I really like the FFX version of Shive. I wasn't really a fan of the game itself, but yea..
And I know, I was just making a general statement as in ALL of the summons in general and just gave examples.
Yea Fun way to think of Alexander huh lol

• The summons in 10 certainly gave the game it's charm

• Asura would be great. Would you have a rotating mask or something for her faces?

I'd love to see someone do Yojimbo from 10, he was always one of my favorites.

• I plan on making her angry and content faces and sticking them on the side of my head. it's the arms I'm worrying about
There was someone on here that Cosplayed as him. there's actually five, I really like this one: http://www.cosplay.com/costume/66335/

• When i have the time and money to do it properly, I plan on doing FFX's Anima ...

• I would pay to see an Anima costume

• I can't say which one(cause it's a surprise),but I am in the process of making a gijinka summon(that is NOT Shiva) cosplay for Otakon 2013 I love it so much and really excited to have it done and show it to everyone! =D

• So after Sakuracon my next big project is Bahamut based off of his Final Fantasy 4 version. I have this dress laying around which I am planing on using.

• I still have an unfinished Yojimbo costume that needs my love. I've put it aside for a few years, but I'm really hoping to get some more progress going on it sometime later this year.
