I'm going as Sakura in her Infinity outfit for fanexpo

I don't really like the top on it.. I don't like how the frillies on the waist go straight across.. So I was thinking of doing a corset or something, and having the waist come to a point, or have it curved.. I think that will look better, and more flattering..
Here are some examples of the hem lines I was thinking of..
Pointed

Curved

My question is, do you think that's ok to change? .. Is it straight across for a reason? Is pointed or curved more appropriate? If people see my costume at Fanexpo, will the be all "OMG!! That's not right!!!"
Usually I like to get my costumes 100% accurate, so I'm unsure of how far it's ok to go with "creative license"
I think that it would be okay to change that part. It's not like you are changing something so drastic that it would be like "OMG blasphemy!" I think I would go with the curved hem. That way, you are making it more flattering without totally deviating from the original.
I think as long as you're editing it to make it more suitable to your body type, it's fine!
I agree with you. The pointed does look a little nicer, in my opinion. I say go for it! Creative license all the way! :D
It is good idea. As long as it would work for the better presention of the costume :D
But make yourself sure taht you can fit it with a rest of dress ;D
