• Yes, i totally agree, my friends and i walked into the convention centre at 4 on friday, expecting the expo to be in the north building...we ALMOST started to go up the unmovable escailators which i knew something was wrong. then we saw the signs.....as soon as we walked *which felt like a mile away* i was absolutely shocked that everything was completelydifferent.... im sure many of you would agree.. i was actually hoping for a huge photoshoot, but i guess the weather didnt cooperate, and there wasn't enough Gundam Seeder's cosplaying.... I was the only Cagalli running around i guess....

How ever! i did take pictures, and i will post them perhaps tomorrow when i get home from work, i warn you, my camera is sooo pathetic and it took the worst photos ever!

  •
so sorry about that :( I didn't omit the blurry pictures just so you know I caught ya on film and have atleast one flash (or in this case lack there of) of a camera accounted for;) The photo doesn't do your Freya justice though. Looks much better in person
No worries!
Thanks for picturing us anyways! And thank you for the compliment! I worked hard on it... its only the second thing Ive sat at a sewing maching for... so Im proud of it... I started really late and worked RIGHT up till the last minute (all night Thurs... then bus down 5 hours to T.O., went to Video Games Live - awesome, and back to the hotel to sew until like 3am, as well as some touch ups in the masquerade signup line the next morning XP) so there are some parts that could have been better if it wasnt so rushed...
Anyways Im glad you liked it! Its nice to get complimented by such a pretty girl! ;)

  • It was a really grand time I find, especially with Saturday since there were so many amazing cosplays *_* I honestly thought the quality -costume wise- was a bit better at AN. But alas, both are grand.

Kudos to everyone by the way!

On Saturday, we shopped a bit, walked around, pictures galore,my friend went to probably nearly autographe session that had FMA voice actors. The funny time was when we were leaning against the wall near those curtains Mini Me came by on his little wheelchair and complimented on my dress xD my friend has it on video. (Though didn't have time to take a picture >> camera dying on me)

But yeah, the food was a bit iffy and the drinks, that's why I brought my own water bottle. And yeah wonderful Mr cooper walked by us as well.

The only down sides was my friend lost his memory card to the camera >.< that had everything in it. At least he had his video film though.

Anyway, twas our first time there, and twas fun.

    I'll shoosh now XD

How was the Masq? The three of us seriously wanted to go but couldn't : /

  • Hey~

My friend Kat took these photos, but she doesn't have a cosplay.com account, and I've uploaded them- so if anyone's looking for their pictures I hope they can find 'em in here! I'm sorry for the blurriness, she wasn't really sure how to use the camera because it wasn't hers. :(

I'm kind of sad that they moved the con to the basement, it was really squished in there. I hope they decide to move it back to the North building next time, because it was waaay too crowded in there. I was really disappointed that there weren't a whole lot of interesting panels, as compared to the last time I went (which was a couple years back- when the MT folks were invited). Oh well, c'est la vie.

Anyhow, I was the really, really, tiny Soi Fon in the covert ops outfit. I could only stay for Friday and Saturday, but I had a lot of fun in Artist Alley and with the other cosplayers. :)

  • lol damn you guys are fast....anyway these are my photos

    i shrank these but not as much....if you want the really high res photos just pm me or something >>;

P.S. Jenova was so cool...i found my mother!! XD

  • Hi,

Just dropping a line to thank you guys for the wonderful costumes.
It's the first time I've taken pictures at a con and everyone was
very accomodating. I could tell that some of you were really tired
by Saturday night, but still invariably polite. Most costumes were
amazing, I will definately be taking more pictures next year, but
    for now:

A quick suggestion: there never seem to be people cosplaying
any of Katsura's characters. I'm not sure why, the characters'
attire is generally quite good, I think!

  •
sweet_kat, I REALLY hope this is you ><. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgqLXEvp7Ec

    It's still processing

Wow, lmao they did cheer when I came out :p But man I dont think we did as well as we could have. For one thing I didnt run when I was supposed to from Gaara. Blah. :( Thanks for uploading it though. Since they cutt us down to 30 seconds I wasnt able to get my parts right on.

Huh never mind I counted how long it was on there it was a minuet long, I am wondering why we got so confused then ah well. :p

  • Saturday was the only day I went and I gotta say it was pretty damn good.

First time in costume ever and the attention I got was unreal. A guy on the train even asked for my pic and he was going to the EX!

The worst part of the con was taking my boots off late in the day and getting a severe cramp in the arch of my foot. Luckaly this nice guy who had been watching me came running to my aid and held me up untill the pain subsided. Then the guy paitently waited while I put my hot pink crocs on and asked if I was ok! I was more then happy to pose for a pic with him after that. You guys might know him as the "Hurt Me" Guy who was ambushing people in costume and wanting pix taken with them but wanting the cosplayer to "hurt" him in the shot LOL.

Nice metting alot of the people from here. I was terribly shy with some of you and I really am sorry. Esp at the beginning of the con I was still getitng used to the place.

In regards to to food prices, my buddy Steve and I just walked to Harveys in Union. Much cheaper and better I'm sure.

Disliked the crowds by the autographs, the lines were hard to tell apart and it was madness. I really think they should organize the speical guests better next year.

Also, My stupid cam only decided to hold about 35 pix this time. I need a memery card BAD. I will post the blurry ones before 7:30am today, so if you have seen my gallery for the con go back and see something new if you are bored. They arn't TOO bad, but still not happy with how they turned out.

Again, nice meeting you all :)

  • It was actually my first time going to FanExpo, so in that respect I expected it to be alot worse then what I actually got. Even if i didn't spend a thing on stuff and ended up loaning like crasy to some of my friends. Still, It was really fun since I was in the dancing Organization group (the ones w/ black cloaks), I'm the one with the ba hair-how many people saw us? Anyhow here are my pics, some of them are a bit blurry since I had other people take them for me...

  • The con was great! I didn't really mind the new location--except for the fact that we couldn't really find any food around, and that a lot of photos turned out horribly due to the poor lighting.
We got a great response to our costumes. My sisters and I went as the Sand Siblings from Naruto; we were the trio that had mini-Gaara, Kankuro-with-puppet and Temari. We also were with a PJ Naruto, and then an Edward Elric. (Same person, different costumes.)

We ended up with a pitiful amount of pictures, because all the props we had inhibited our chasing speed and ability to actually take out the camera in time to take a photo.

    But here they are, anyway.

I was that Neji on the first pic!!
I left early on Sunday, didn't have any more money, none of the panels caught my attention and I had to drop-off Hinata.
The Saturday and Friday however, were more than worth it. The Naruto photoshoot was totally awesome, and the Masquerade was pretty fun(I had to leave at 40-something), although I preferred last years. I got to meet the Naruto VA's on Friday and the FMA VA's on Saturday, and they were all so nice!!!I got my photo-taken with the Naruto VA's and I hugged Vic!!
The gaiaonline.com gathering was also a total success and I was actually there for once!!
I got to meet some really nice people, in fact everyone was awesome!!Even the people selling street meat gave me discounts!!
BTW, the Mechazawa was awesome!!(I glomped it too)

  • If anyone else recorded our skit from a different angle or without the light in the way please send me the link. And let me know how I can find the original recordings. Did we have to ask them after the masquerade or is any of it going to be on the internet?

BTW all those flashes. Are those all people taking pictures? Because I didnt even notice that on stage but when I watch the video there are light flashes everywhere.

  •
Glad I didn't come across that volunteer, no way in hell I was moving once I was down.
Related: Remember to get insoles for a con
Hahaha, It's creepy though, that guy is like, EVERYWHERE they should seriously fire him :/ he's quite rude and kinda....gives people a bad impression of the convention, he's at like, every convention you can find.

  • The only encounter with a con staff was when I asked wher ethe line for Carrie Fisher started ...

That one guy sounds awful though ...
