I finished the cape piece and chest piece to lightnings equilibrium outfit but dont know how to attach the cape without it pulling up the chest piece. The cape seems to just magically stay on her but since this the real world i want to make it so any strapping is as invisible and unnoticable as physically possible. Any suggestins will help! The cape is made of a twill and peachskin fabric not too heavy. And the chest piece is a stretch pleather.

Might help us to be able to see how your chestpiece and cape fits. But, I'd say you just have to make your chestpiece more secure.

Any chance you could post a photo of the back as well? The way that chest piece fits will make a huge difference.

The photo you've got there doesn't make it clear where the cape itself sits, or if it's part of that collar. Depending on how you put it all on and how it's supposed to be layered, you could sew it to the collar piece. You could also maybe attach it directly to the pauldrons.

Or... you might need straps that sneak under the chest piece. We need to see your costume on you to help with this, not just the art.
