The 76th Annual Nisei Week Grand Parade is returning to Little Tokyo in August and we are inviting YOU to be a part of our parade this year!

Participating in the parade is free and cosplayers with family-friendly costumes and of all cosplay skill levels are strongly encouraged to attend!

We will be meeting at the Little Tokyo Shopping Center on 333 South Alameda Avenue in Los Angeles. We will proceed to the parade's staging area at 3:00 PM. The Nisei Week Grand Parade will start promptly at 4:00PM, so don't be late!

In addition to our regular cosplay parade entry, we will be representing the upcoming AkibaFest in Little Tokyo in a separate parade group. If you would like to be a part of this special parade entry, please let us know in our online event waiver! You MUST BE cosplaying a character from an ANIPLEX title (e.g., Fullmetal Alchemist, Gurrenn Lagann, Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online, etc.)

Here are some rules that the Nisei Week Grand Parade wants us to know:

1) All entries should have a positive theme which respects diversity, is non-controversial and does not advocate any political candidate, proposition or position.

2) The parade will start PROMPTLY at 4:00PM.

3) The parade committee, the City of Los Angeles and/or Pageantry accepts no responsibility for any false statements made by any applicant, participant and/or unit in the parade.

4) Forward motion must be maintained throughout the parade route, including judging. STOPPING AT ANY TIME TO PERFORM IS PROHIBITED.

5) At NO TIME is anything to be thrown or handed out along the parade route.

6) No firearms, sirens or loud noises (including music) that interferes with other units are allowed.

7) Any violation of these rules may lead to immediate disqualification and/or removal from the parade.
