I am making megumin from Konosuba and need help with making her white leggings that look like it's wrapped. How should I go about doing it? I was thinking of getting a white thigh high and gluing strips of white fabric on it but I am not sure if that would work or if it would be an issue since thigh highs stretch. I actually WOULD wrap it, using something like silk or cotton. Maybe use some bodytape to secure it above the knee.

Get dance type hose (flesh tone sheer) and wrap the white strips then hand tack with needle and thread to make it stay.

Full hose will of course stay up way better than thigh highs.

Hand sewing sounds like a good idea! Thanks!!!

Be sure to use a stretch fabric when you do this, or wear the hose and pin the strips on with your body in it

You could always do something like this: http://creativelyrash.tumblr.com/post/80332880292/how-to-make-arm-wraps-without-actually-using-arm

Would probably be easier to make and wear, I'm thinking?

easier than wrapping strips around tights while wearing them and then sewing a few stitches at the crossing layers down the side of each leg? I disagree. Basically that's a more complicated version of the same idea. And as the OP needs this on legs the issue of keeping them in place is a significant factor.

Penlowe while I agree yours may be an effortwise easier thing to do I personally second the offerings of Sugar.Code's recommended tutorial to make them last longer/ if the op didn't want to have to worry about all the weight of the bandage relying on the nylon stockings to stay together, even dance tights run and when you get a stocking run sometimes it's a pain to try and pull the hand stitches out of tights and redo them...with the recommended option of the tutorial I feel the OP would be able to also do the hand stitching after the item is all one piece and then it would be super durable...just my 2 cents
