Who's Going to San Diego?

This thread is archived.

  • I have a 4-day badge for myself and the wife, but I have to go back in to open registration to get Preview Night.

  • I'm going 4 days with preview night along with my husband and two other friends but I got my badge when professional registration opened up

  • 20th consecutive Comic Con here I come!

  • This will be my sixth SDCC! Unfortunately I only got Thurs and Sun, but I've got a wider network of friends to help each other out and hopefully I'll get Fri and Sat as well. :) (I don't mind not having preview night, as I usually miss it flying in from the bay anyways. -___-)

Maybe you can answer a question, then.

I applied for press with my podcast and they confirmed they had them, but I haven't heard if they were approved or not. What is the timeline on that?

  • It took a month or two for them to get back whether i got approved or not.

  • Huh. Now I'm worried.

  • I have Thursday and Sunday Badges. How come its a bad thing to have only 2 badges?

It's only a bad thing if the panels you know is happening isn't on those days! (Also Sunday is a half day. So it's almost more like 1.5....) I've gone enough years to know that all the panels that I usually go to are most likely on Fri or Sat, so those days are worth a second round of badge registration hell!

  • Oh ok. Me and my sister have no interested to go any panels since the lines are so long. I have been attending SDCC since the early 90s and a whole lot had changed. So, me and my sister interested getting any exclusive stuff in the SDCC.

Oh I totally know what you mean. The ones I go to usually aren't that bad, unless it's something really crazy like Adventure Time or Bravest Warriors. (THOSE line gets crazy....) But usually the panels for things like Vertigo comics or Fables and even shows like Bob's Burgers and Archer aren't horrible anymore. Even Robot Chicken and Venture Brothers! And those have consistently been the best panels I ever go to.

And sadly those are all usually on Fri and Sat for me. /)_(\ le sigh

  • Got lucky and got all 5 days.

  • Yea. We were lucky to get some panels like Tekken panel but for me, it is pointless to wait in line for more than 90 minutes and the panel lasted for about an hour or so. My sister managed to meet Mr. Harada in the game room. We were only in the game room because I entered in the Tekken tournament. She got a picture with him, an autograph, and special picture from him.

  • I only got a Saturday Badge this year, just good enough to keep me in the (Pre-Reg) for 2015. 2014 will be my 6th year attending.

  • Looking for crash space this year. Most specifically in the downtown or Gaslamp area near the Convention Center. I don't think I want to spend another year waking up at 4am just to commute from home to downtown everyday.
