Hi! I'm having trouble with making a cosplay of the character Party Poison, from the MCR Danger Days album. I don't know what pattern to use, or what type of fabric I should use. I would be willing to modify a pattern, but I'm not sure how to get the diamond shapes on the back, or what type of jacket it is really...

I'm sorry if this sounds really dumb, but I'm unsure of how to go about this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Did you try to put an image in your post? because I'm not seeing one. A link is better until you've established with the board that you aren't a sales spammer ;)

It sounds like you're an inexperienced sewer, and a jacket like this isn't a particularly simple pattern since it has a ton of details, zippers, quilting; it's probably lined; and many entry-level sewing machines just don't have the oomph to properly stitch a material like that.

I'd go thrifting to find a jacket that's pretty close in size, shape, and structure, then use Angelus or Meltonian Nu-Life paints to get the correct blue color. Add the stripes from a colored (or painted) pleather or leather, gluing them on with something like E6000 Fabri-Fuse or a contact cement like Barge.

Or, here's one for sale. The price is pretty reasonable for an item like this, though I haven't personally used this company, so it would be a good idea to read the reviews.

Thank you for the help, I did some looking around and found a jacket similar to what I'm looking for. Thank you for the help.
