Hi there, if you are frustrated like me that Disney won't make the costume accessories for adults, please sign my petition. It is hard for some of us to afford commissions and some of us who are in professional costumes groups that need their item's to go with the costumes to look perfect for clearance like me, are having a hard time finding the things we need. I'm talking about accessory only items that cannot be made at home and to look good have to be factory made. I have tried hand painting some Anna boots because Disney won't make there's in the bigger size for us adults and they are not brilliant, I know my costume group would not clear them for trooping because they have to look neat and professional.
If you are in the same boat or just want these things for your own home use or events like movie fairs, then lets get together and make change.
I am not looking for peoples opinions on this, but you don't know if you try!
Many Thanks for your time in reading this it is much appreciated.

If you wear a size 6 us women's you will fit in the size 4 kids boots... Just an FYI...

Disney won't make adult costumes etc that are exact or close to exact (aside from those few Limited Editions) , the reason being not everyone does Disney cosplay in a good way. Imagine a bunch of Princesses out on a bachelorette party... see what I mean? This is what a couple of staff in different Disney stores have said when I asked why they only do kids' costumes.

Accessories maybe but they seem to make enough from everything else as it is. I'd love lots of things in women's sizes but I don't think it's going to happen sadly...

Yes I am still having an issue with the boots, I can't find anywhere I thought it would be a little easier to find something. You know I'm in 2 costume groups, one turned down my Merida because my bow was to small, it was the authentic dinsey store children's bow and they liked the pattern and shape, but it was to small. I could not make one or find one I cold afford, so I cannot troop in that costume for that one group, but the friendlier group accepted it. As said they will not let us in the parks anyway, so I can't understand what the fuss is. As for people who Cosplay I not so good way as said by the other lady above, surely Disney can just turn their head in the opposite direction because they are not official Disney princess's in official Disney clothes with their logo on, so it's not like they would officially be anything to do with Disney company themselves, so they could just turn around and say these people are nothing affiliated with he company.
I don't see anything wrong with trying, though I really am just saying if you want to sign it great, but if not that's fine, but I don't need people to give me their thoughts. I started my first petition ever before this one 2 weeks ago and someone got very nasty to me, kept giving me their opinion where ever I posted my petition to get it out there, it was the same opinion in the same words each time. I don't know who they were, but I didn't ask for nastiness. I don't mind if people don't want to sign it. It's just frustrating that I can make reasonably good costumes and have trouble with the accessories all the time. There are hardly many places in the uk that do commsions for the things I need at least then it would cost only the price they charge, buying commissions from the usa is nearly twice as much money by the time you receive your parcel.
I can understand about the why go to Disneyland when you can just hire, but I have been to Disneyworld in 2010 and Disneyland Paris last year in 2013 and both times I never got to met a princess myself expect I saw Cinderella briefly walking down on path and got one photo. So it's hard to even meet your favourite princess sad face. :blubber:

Hi Kiggi, I ma a uk size 4 and they are selling the same Disney store kids boots as in the usa, ours only go up to a child size 1 which is 3 sizes smaller than my feet which are very narrow and but slightly long. That is there highest size. My main costume group is called the Dragon order and they cater for most costumes, not just Disney. I don't do princess party's though I do go to events like movie fairs and dress up. My costume group does not get paid we do charity fundraising events, and only attend places that will at least provide water and some light refreshments, due to some costumers wearing plastic armours suits that they get very hot in etc.
So the only enjoyment we get out of it is that we can attend an event for free but have to do a job and get to wear our hard work.

On my own bat so to speak I wear my costumes for my local carnival if I can get he day off work because ours is a Saturday and I work a Saturday and with it being popular in our town, everyone wants the day off, mostly to watch and not take part like I want to, so I try and get my holiday at worked booked early, but not every year to give other people chance, even though some I know would try and get in before me every time. I have always loved Disney as well as other things. Thanks anyway for your help though I'm not sure what FYW means. thanks from Tracy :)

But if they did make the costumes and accessories, and people wore them in an unflattering way, then they really ARE representing Disney (to the average person on the street, anyway) We may know better but little kids don't.

Imagine 'Mommy why is Elsa only wearing half her clothes?' Or 'Why is Belle falling down in the street?'

As for freight if it costs too much for commissions try looking into a parcel forwarding service, often they can consolidate shipments to save you money, I do this for shipping to the UAE and it is SO much cheaper this way... Saved hundreds if not thousands and been able to buy things that normally won't ship to my country of residence

FYI? It means "for your information" :)

I'm sorry your other petition got nasty replies, and by no means do I want to be perceived as leaving such replies, but it is out in the public, and will probably be commented on. Not everyone is nice. Myself and the other poster are just trying to let you know that it unfortunately will come to nothing, because of the image the Disney company likes to keep.

Look up the story of the girl cosplaying as tinker bell in the park. That is a good example. She went to the park, and while she was not an accurate tinker bell, my 5 yr old wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and would have asked why tinker bell was smoking a cigarette. That isn't what Disney characters do.

Or when a huge group of us went to Disney for Halloween a few years back we were stopped constantly because we looked too good and warned about pictures and such and told we would be thrown from the park if we even said to anyone we were the characters. Kids don't know the difference. Now we were all behaving properly, but what if we weren't? Now anyone who saw has an impression about the princess property.

And I don't know how you went and weren't able to meet any princesses! All I did was meet princesses! (They don't walk around in disneyworld so you have to find the places they are and that's listed in the times guide) we had lunch with princesses... We watched parades with princesses... They are my sons "girlfriends" lol!

But either way, how about asking other members of these groups to help you? I don't know anything about the troupes and stuff besides princess party ones here. But I know they are always willing to help a girl out :) good luck!

Fortunately there is a pattern in Misses' sizes for Snow White and Cinderella, Simplicity 2813. I own it, I used the Cinderella pattern for my Princess Kenny cosplay, and it worked out wonderfully.
