Hey guys!

Who's excited for akon?? I actually am because of the new venue (YAY FINALLY!) and i'll be working with my boyfriend in the dealer's room selling his items and then some of mine as well (before I move to houston!!!)

What are your plans?

I hope to have:
Hana (gate 7)
Asuna (sword art online, either 1st or 2nd outfit)
Azusa (idolm@ster)
Tifa (ff7....still not sure about what outfit or if i'm doing tifa)

and maybe something else...i'm still really not sure. I kinda want to do Nobuna's yukata (I already have the wig) but we'll see

I honestly have no clue what I will be cosplaying yet. My original plans for Bride of the Water God cosplay has gone out the window since my friend will be studying in Japan during A-kon and my costume won't be much without hers. I'm thinking of finally finishing my Tweedledee from Kiddy Grade, but don't know for sure yet. I want to make something super spectacular to go with the new location, and had thought of another Yuuko cosplay, but I've done two in the last two years and don't know if I want to do yet another one or not...I hope to have some plans soon.

Oh wow, this one's a toughie.

I know I'll have:

Marth ( Super Smash Brother's Brawl )
Aerith ( Final Fantasy VII )
Micaiah ( Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn )
Soren ( Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance )

But as for something new by then? I'm totally at a loss. After doing so much Fire Emblem, I know I'll probably work on a few other series. I've been debating on something a bit older like Chrono Cross and perhaps doing a Serge cosplay. I'm tossing around other Final Fantasy's like perhaps doing Rinoa or Yuna, or going older with Terra. Hrm, also I love Shadow Hearts so I may actually try my hand at Yuri.

To be honest, I really have no idea! I bet once I get to Ikkicon and see all these really cool cosplays I'll have a better idea.

I dunno much of many plans, but the only one I can confirm is my Death the Kid cosplay, it mainly depend on panels and photoshoots.

If I'm lucky, I'll only have two costumes with me this year. Between working full time and going to night school twice a week, I honestly don't have as much time as I'd like to work on cosplay. (Plus, having a cosplay podcast takes even more of what free time I do have.) I know I want to do an Erza Scarlet cosplay--probably her Robe of Yuen since it will go with the decor of the Anatole. I may or may not have finished Deedlit's armor by that point; I have to redo the skirt on the dress because I drafted the pattern too tightly.

I'm doing Juvia for a con a few weeks after A-kon in my hometown for a huge Fairy Tail group we are trying to get together. If I get her done in time for A-kon, I might have to bring her along. I know someone who was at A-kon this year that does a good Gray, so I might have to bug him to bring it next year if Juvia gets to take a trip to Dallas.

That would be awesome! It's hard to find a good Juvia. (I'd actually debated making an Aquarius celestial spirit cosplay at some point, oddly enough.) For AnimeFest, I want to make Erza's Lightning Empress armor. Sometimes I bite off a little more than I can chew.

Then again, I may change my mind on outfits depending on how the current Fairy Tail arc goes.

Yeah, I plan to make Juvia's outfit from the more recent arc. I like that it looks a lot like her original costume, but I like her hairstyle so much more. That severe hair roll just wasn't doing it for me. So I think Juvia just might get done in time for A-kon if I can so she can get a test run before the huge group I'm helping pull together at home.

I am glad I am not the only one who doesn't enjoy Juvia's hair rolls. >.<

They were just too severe. And while I liked her outfit after she joined FT, I didn't like her hair short as much as long. So when she finally had the long, wavy hair but with something similar to her original costume, I was happy. I can't wait to start it.

Well, the more we go on, the more I'm sure we will at least have several Twisted Disney characters for the con, we started on my brother's fiancee's Snow White yesterday. And now I will try to have Juvia for a test run, got my steampunk wind-up doll I didn't get to do this year, and then I want something really crazy big and elaborate. Dunno what to do yet. I keep thinking Yuuko again, but not sure if I want to do yet another of her and not consider a new character.

Edit: I think I might finally do that Cardinal Caterina Sforza costume I've wanted to make for a long time. I kept putting her off, so maybe this year will be the time to do it.

but still TB is awesome! i wish i could have esther done but i'm going to have to push it back again because of Hana

Who knows, if time and money agree, I might have a new Yuuko too. Or I could always bring one of my other ones with me. Especially since the one I made this year was supposed to have been for A-kon but I didn't get our group totally finished so we ended up not wearing them and then used them for a con here in Memphis two weeks later. So there's still a chance for Yuuko^^
